Data Usage Precautions

Data Usage Limitations

RUDA data may be used only for research or academic purposes.

Process to access the data

RUDA provides access to survey data without charge. Following is the process for accessing data.

  1. User Registration
  2. Submission of the “Usage Application” form to gain data access.
  3. Downloading the data (after receiving the approval email from the CSI).
  4. (After the permitted period for use has expired) Deleting the data and submitting a “Usage Report.”

Permitted period for data access

You can access the data until March 31 of the year following the date of approval. If the approval date falls on or after January 1, the permitted period will extend up to March 31 of the following year. Please note the following three points.

  1. Delete the data after the permitted period has expired.
  2. Submit a “Usage Report” to the CSI via either post or email when the permitted period has expired.
  3. If you want to continue using the data after the permitted period has expired, please check “Extension desired” on the “Usage Report”, and send it to the CSI by either post or email. You can extend the period up to one year from when the application is approved.
